Carsen is a Dutch-American filmmaker based in Brooklyn. She loves all things television and primarily writes episodic comedies. Her focus is on quirky, character driven stories about adults who haven’t quite figured out how to adult yet. An episode of her series, Misguided, premiered at Dances with Films in January 2026.

As an AD, she strives to create a positive atmosphere on set with an emphasis on good communication.

She also works as an editor, a process that she finds akin to writing. Carsen is planning her first directing project for later this year.
